When You’re standing in the aisle of the grocery store, staring at the enticing labels and packaging of the foods you are considering buying. What foods you want? The health food or diet food. Because this is a diet food blog, so I will tell you how to select diet food in grocery store.

How to know what nutrition contain in food in grocery store? I think the best method is check to nutritional label. From nutritional label, you can know anything about the food you selecting. Although the nutritional label cannot tell you low fat, low cholesterol or low calorie information, you can select the best diet food.

If you want to avoid trans fats, you shouldn’t select fried food. If you want to avoid high calorie, be ware of soda and fruit juice. If you want avoid high cholesterol, I think you shouldn’t eat pork and other high cholesterol. If you want high fiber food, you can eat fruit and vegetable.

Soy not only health food, but also diet food. Soy contain low fat, low calorie and low carb. Now many dieters love soy, because they know eating soy can help their diet.

New research out recently concluded that a soy may even prevent belly fat in women who have gone through menopause as well. We eat fruit and vegetable daily! Because we know fruits are low fat foods, eating fruit is good for diet. But there is a kind of fruit not low fat foods, it’s Avocado. The avocado contains more fat than most fruits. Since avocado contains high fat amount, whether we should stop add avocados to my diet. Although avocado contain high fat, we can eat it. Why? because the fat contain in avocado are heart-healthy monounsaturated kind of fat. The monounsaturated fat has many benefits for our body health, also the monounsaturated fat don’t cause weight gain, so we can eat it.

Eliminate Trans Fat From your Diet

Research has found that trans fats have been linked to multiple health issues including elevated coronary heart disease risk and lowering HDL levels, higher abdominal fat levels and even infertility.

As obesity disease climb in the recently years, people prefer choose a health food than a fast food. So the fast food companies such as McDonald adjust their market strategy to attract more consumer. They added some health foods such as Yogurt, salad, veggie burger in their fast food and brag that their food is health through evil media.

But the fact is their health fast food have the same effect damage our body. Although they added Yogurt, salad, veggie burger in their fast food, they cannot change fast food essence that full of high cholesterol, high fat and high calorie. If we continue eat those health fast food, we also weight gain like before.

Deep-fried Food and Overweight

Overweight is a serious problem. When people found themself is already overweight, they didn’t why. “I didn’t eat many food, why I get overweight.” There are many conditions can cause overweight, somebody limit their daily food intake, somebody work out more. Is it the food amount cause overweight? No! It’s the fat and calories amount.

I think the worst food for weight loss is deep-fried food. They’re loaded with calories and fat, which often includes nasty trans fats.

There is a misunderstanding about eating fat cause to obesity for many years. People lack enough nutrition knowledges about fat and obesity, when dietitian tell them fat is really bad for their weight loss, dieters believe it. But eating fruit and vegetable aren’t really help you to lose weight, because you can’t control your food craving, so you have to eat excess of sugar and refined flour which will trigger the oversecretion of our “fat storage”. This will lead to serious obesity also.

Fat isn’t bad, if you eat fat right. How to eat fat right to avoid obesity and other disease. My suggesting is eliminate trans fatty acids and saturated fats intake, but eat more monounsaturated fats and essential fats.

Diet Goal Limit Nutrition Intake

What’s diet? Why we have to spend so much money on diet. What’s diet goal. I think the diet goal is limit our nutrition intake. Because the nutrition is overmuch in our body, so we have to cut it. The problem is what we cut and what we store. We cut the calorie, fat, cholesterol and other nutrition, but store the vitamin, fiber and mineral.

So dietitian suggest eating fruit, vegetable and limit the meat intake, because the meat contain high calorie, fat and cholesterol.
